Brief: Redesign the cover of the Urban Potters, a coffee table book by Katie Treggiden.

Solution: I have a real love for ceramics, with my very own make-shift pottery studio at home, and was visually inspired by the glazing sticks that you find in ceramist studios. I combined this love and fascination with typography to make a typographic cover  that was bold and truly hand-crafted. 

Process: I used cookie cutters to form the letters out of course hand-building clay and had them fired before I completed  the glaze and sent them in for a second fire.
